We’re Engaged!!! … Now What?
It happened.
You found your life-time best friend.
Your built-in Adventure Buddy.
Your other half.
That one person you want on every page for the rest of your story.
The perfect moment was planned and it went just the way you imagined (Or maybe it didn’t?! Sometimes that’s even more perfect! And we definitely want to hear all about it in an introductory consultation). You both told the people you love and probably got a few criers, some shouted cheers, a couple good natured “about time!” comments. Core memory made.
It’s a fairytale.
Aaaaand suddenly you’re knee deep in “Wedding Planning” (I’m assuming you are or you wouldn’t be on a Wedding Planning Blog :D).
A seemingly endless parade of questions is swirling around in your mind. What date should we have the wedding? Which venue is right for us? Or should we do a destination wedding? Should we invite everyone we know? Should we just elope? What’s a reasonable budget? What color should our table linens be? Where do we even start?!
Just like that, all the questions are sucking the life right out of that just-engaged joy!!!
It can be so complicated to take it all on at once. So don’t. Start with a couple questions:
- What do you each most want to remember about your wedding day? (It’s totally okay if you don’t have the same answers!)
- What would really spoil the day for you?
- What do you want your guests to remember?
That’s it. These are questions we ask our couples right off the bat. Your answers will serve as the guiding star for location, budget, size of the invite list, entertainment choices, etc! You’d be surprised how much those three simple questions will streamline your decision-making at each step of the process.
